Hundreds of women gathered together for the #RallyForAbortionJustice today starting in Foley Square, lower Manhattan. As part of the annual Women’s March, this year the march took place in 650 locations in all 50 United States tagged in which numerous speakers, activists, politicians, advocates and supporters came together across the nation in fight for the rights of women.

The 102nd New York City Veterans Day Parade commenced again after two year hiatus.
Veterans Day celebrates and honors all the brave men and women, both the living and the dead who have fought for the country and in the armed services.
This year also commemorates the 20th anniversary of 9/11 as well as the 30th anniversary of Operation Desert Storm.
Banding together, everyone came out with loved and remembered ones and march down 5th AVE in Manhattan between 25th Street and 40th Street.

The Tunnel to Tower 5k run and walk in NYC filled with runners of all kinds to commemorate the run on 9/11 of Fireman Stephen Siller from Brooklyn to Manhattan through the Hugh L. Carey tunnel.
The run pays tribute to the 343 FDNY firefighters, 71 law enforcement officers and thousands of civilians who lost their lives on that catastrophic day 20 years ago. All proceeds to the event go to supporting those of first responders and injured service members. 
Service members adorned with images of those lost and holding flags lined the streets in support of the runners as they passed through the tunnel and ran their way through lower Manhattan to the finish line. (C) Bianca Otero
