People and public figures came together for the Justice for Asian Women Rally in Times Square. Organized by the Asian Justice Movement, cities across the United States held rallies to call for justice for Asian women facing ongoing attacks and racism.
In the past two years dramatic increase in anti-Asian hate crimes and random violence has effected the country and shaken Asian communities causing fear and alarm.
In NYC alone, three Asian American women were killed , In unprovoked attacks in the first quarter of the year. Statistically Asian women are targeted higher than compared to Asian men.
Performers, Kate Rigg, AKA Lady K. Sian and actor Perry Young were amongst the handful of performers to partake in the event.
