It passed the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan, before turning around and sailing through the Kill Van Kill, and then under the Bayonne Bridge in route to Port Newark. School children who attend the Harbor School on Richmond Terrace had an opportunity to cross the street from their building and pose with the ship as it sailed behind them.
