At 7 pm FDNY firefighters rolled up along with local residents to show appreciation for medical workers and their efforts to care for COVID-19 - novel coronavirus patients at NYU Langone in Manhattan, New York, as part of the "Clap because we care" movement.

In the first days of the pandemic the streets were virtually empty. These young men rode in a large pack of bikes down through Times Square. "Get a bike and ride with us!" one of them shouted out to passersby,

A procession of the dead emerges from the backdoor of Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. Hospital workers push the gurneys carrying the recently deceased to a temporary morgue inside refrigerated container trucks. Their lives were all claimed by COVID-19 or the novel Coronavirus.
May5. 2020 : A Mariachi Band brought in from a local restaurant comes to perform for the healthcare workers at 7pm.

March 27, 2020: A Novel Coronavirus / COVID 19 testing center at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Queens, New York City. A medical care worker surveys the line of people wanting to be tested for COVID 19.
April 1, 2020: An EMT paramedic shouts out "We need more hugs! It's just crazy here."- after hugging his colleague and getting back into his ambulance. EMS workers and other first responders are on the frontline of the battle against COVID-19 or the novel coronavirus in addition to their regular workload.
At 7PM Medical Workers from NYU Langone came out to be greeted by applause from FDNY firefighters, NYPD Police officers, neighbors and passerby for their efforts in caring for COVID-19 coronavirus patients.
