Fire in Astoria, Queens

November 6th, around 8pm on Friday night, a fire broke out on the second floor of a house on 27th street in Astoria. When FDNY got to the scene the house was already fully engulfed.  It quickly went to a second alarm as flames shot 10 feet out of all three of the top floor windows. Firefighters got the fire under control in less than an hour. One firefighter went to the hospital with minor injuries, no one in the apartment was hurt but all of the possessions were lost.
