NATHAN’S FAMOUS FOURTH OF JULY HOT DOG-EATING CONTEST
AT CONEY ISLAND’S MAIMONIDES PARK
World champion Joey Chestnut will defend his title against the world’s top eaters before a live audience at the Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog-Eating Contest in Coney Island’s Maimonides Park (formerly MCU Park).
The world’s best eating athletes go head-to-head in the 10-minute, all-you-can-eat contest. Chestnut’s broke his world record of 75 hot dogs and buns with 76 hot dogs. against number-two-ranked Geoffrey Esper(who has beaten Chestnut in recent events) .
In the women’s competition, Michelle Lesco won with 30 3/4hot dogs and buns competed against world pepperoni roll-eating champion Larell Marie Mele and Sarah Rodriguez.
