NY: New York City FC Celebrates MLS Cup Championship

The New York City Football Club ended New York City’s Championship drought -the last time a NY sports team brought home a trophy was in 2011 -after they defeated the Portland Timbers 4-2 on penalties on Dec. 11, 2021, garnering the first title for the NYCFC. Players and fans celebrated the MLS Cup Championship at City Hall  in New York City on Dec. 14, 2021.
